Thabaphaswa's fishing camping spots
Our waterfront camp sites

After a tough 3 years of drought, our mountain stream again started flowing.

The two top dams are filling up quickly and this makes fishing and swimming possible again.
There is also a zipline/ foefieslaaid at Hein's dam that brings much joy to our guests.

Two of our camping areas are next to these two dams with 10 different camp-sites surrounding it, which are firm favourites of many of our visitors. Especially families with children like to be near the catch-and-release dams so that children can fish without going too far away from the camping site.

The camp-sites are located in the RIVERSIDE and MIDSTREAM camping areas.

There is a picnic spot at Hein's dam with a fire pit and washing-up facilities, which makes it a favourite spot among
Day Visitors that want to fish and swim. This area is also available as a camp-site on weekdays.

Stanley Classic Bottle

Resort | TheQuarterMaster
In 1979, there was a massive hotel explosion and fire in Maryland. All that was found in the rubble was a Stanley bottle. (So the legend goes). Stanley has survived: -56°C Wind Chill, 1200m Drops, Cat 5 Hurricanes They really are made to last. We are convinced if it can survive that, it can do well on an ordinary day in South Africa. Stanley Classic Bottle X Small 0.47L Green • 18/8 Stainless steel. BPA-Free • Double-wall vacuum insulation • Insulated lid that doubles as a cup • Leakproof • Dishwasher safe
