Outdoorphoto & Campworld’s Big5 Group Photographic Contest announce their first BIG SHOT WINNERS!
CONTENT:
While most of us were still sleeping off our New Year’s lunches, some budding photographers were eagerly snapping away, wasting no time getting their entries in for The Pic of 2012- the exciting new photographic competition hosted by Outdoorphoto and Campworld’s Big5 Group of Caravan and Camping Stores.
And for Ross Couper, the early bird really does catch the worm… or in this case, the shot!
Not only was he the first entrant, submitting his photograph on 4 January, his entry also managed to secure its spot in the top 3 images to go through to the end-if-year finals. Besides a fantastic prize for his winning entry, Ross also walks away with a Swannie Braai simply for being the first entrant into the competition!
The top three spots were given to: (in no particular order)
- Gary Hughs – “Moving Herd”
- Pikkie Langenhoven – “Spotted Hyena”
- Ross Couper – “Lion Cub”
Each walk away with four Fisherman Friend Chairs and entry into the finals at the end of the year!
With 11 months of the competition left to go, the race is still on and there are plenty of magic moments still waiting to be captured! February entries are now open and photographers may enter up to 2 images – however, anything exceeding this will not be considered. All entered images will be available for viewing at www.outdoorphoto.co.za while entry forms can be downloaded at www.campworldbig5.co.za
So get in focus, get out there and take a shot at it!
